In addition to partnering with schools & community organizations, we offer our own FREE programs & events for middle & high schools students. Here’s what’s on tap for the 2024-25 school year. Let us know what interests you, and we’ll send all the deets when we have them!

PRODIGY PROGRAM

Held at our 21 E North Ave office with an option to join virtually, the Prodigy Program is our flagship after-school computer science education program designed to bring advanced technology skills to Baltimore youth. No prior computing experience is needed for Intro-level classes.

CODEWORKS 2024

CodeWorks is a 5-week summer experience where Baltimore City residents between the ages of 14 and 21 get paid to sharpen real-world tech skills in a variety of roles through work on projects in collaboration with tech industry professionals. Held at the University of Baltimore in partnership with Baltimore City’s YouthWorks Summer Jobs Program, the program gets rave reviews and returning students every year.

Summer 2025 Dates: July 7- August 8


GIRLS IN CS SUMMIT

This annual day of workshops and networking with tech industry professionals for middle and high school aged young women and nonbinary people catalyzes interest in the broad range of computer-science-related careers. Hosted in partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools, the event is FREE, no experience is required, and there’s breakfast, lunch, and swag bags for all who attend!

Our most popular annual event of video game development! This day-long contest to develop an original video game comes with all the FREE food & snacks & t-shirts & swag & awards you’ve come to know & love.
