What is CodeWorks?

CodeWorks is a career exploration program where participants sharpen real-world tech skills in a variety of roles through work on projects in collaboration with tech industry professionals. Through a partnership with YouthWorks, Baltimore City students ages 14-21 are paid for their participation in CodeWorks.

Who is CodeWorks for?

CodeWorks’ target audience is high school students & opportunity aged-youth who are looking to increase their technology skills or explore different workforce experiences for their own edification or to inform their future career.

Why is the CodeWorks program important?

Our mission is to empower Baltimore City youth to thrive in the 21st Century economy. We nurture young people’s ability to think both critically, improving their tech skills using industry-standard tools and team roles within various technology tracks.

How is CodeWorks possible?

We operate in partnership with Baltimore City’s YouthWorks Summer Jobs Program, managed by the Mayor's Office of Employment Development.

When is the CodeWorks program?

CodeWorks is a 5 week career exploration program that will take place at the University of Baltimore from July 8, 2024 through August 8, 2024 (Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm).
